Wines and Ciders and Beers… Oh My!!!

Owning a brewery trail has opened up so many new options for us when it comes to traveling. TagaBrew takes you to places that you never knew existed or would never have gone to otherwise. Many of those places quickly become favorites, and one of mine is located in Marysville, Ohio – Dalton Union Winery & Brewery!

Owned by Dale and Tonya Mabry, Dalton Union Winery was opened in 2015 as a small tasting room that quickly expanded into the current main space. The brewery was launched in 2018, adding more drink options to what was already a popular spot. The main tasting/taproom is open and inviting with wood tables, comfy chairs, and a cozy area near the fireplace where you can relax on a couple of couches.

Dalton Union hosts a variety of events throughout the year such as craft nights, themed parties, and live music. There are food trucks on Saturday nights so you can nosh while enjoying one or more (I personally recommend more) of their beers, wines, hard ciders, or meads. Not a drinker or have kids with you, have no fear! They also offer soda, bottled water, coffee, and now non-alcoholic beer – truly something for everybody.

Oh yes, and they also allow well behaved dogs on leash (YAY FOR DOG MOMS EVERYWHERE)! They host a variety of dog related events in addition to having a large fenced in area for friendly and socialized dogs to romp around and play in while you enjoy your bevvie. (Please clean up after your pup. #poophappens) You may even get to snuggle the resident pups – Dalton, Bella, and Toby!

We recently had a fall mini crawl in the area that started at Dalton Union last September, and everyone there absolutely loved being there! We could have hung out all afternoon had we not already scheduled other stops.

On a personal note, Tonya and Dale Mabry are legit two of the nicest, most genuine people you will ever meet. They are friendly, hospitable, and care about their patrons. Dale is a marine veteran and was featured in our Veterans Day tribute video. Tonya’s one of my all time favorite people to sit with and chat about… well anything really. We are blessed to have gotten to know them better, and I consider them to be friends. Their warmth and spirit is felt the minute you walk in, and it is a huge part of Dalton Union’s charm.

We really aren’t orange, but we really were happy!

After spending time at Dalton Union, you likely won’t want to leave. Well, there’s a solution for that – they are Harvest Hosts! They have five parking spots for RV’s/campers through Harvest Hosts (reservations through Harvest Host site), and they also allow tent camping overnight for free. If you aren’t a camper, then check out their AirBNB! Russ and I have stayed at the AirBNB for a night, and I can’t wait to stay again! It was so clean and had a lot to offer. There is a nice sitting area, a movie theater with plush, reclining seats, a wet bar/kitchenette, full bathroom, comfy bedroom, pool table, and card gaming area.

Reservations for the AirBNB must be made through the AirBNB site at: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/34689698?location=Marysville%2C%20OH%2C%20United%20States&adults=1&guests=1&sl_alternate_dates_exclusion=true&source_impression_id=p3_1557893732_ZtQ0WWw%2BfIrNVM8E&s=C5RpEznO .

Thank you again to Dale and Tonya for creating such a wonderful spot on the trail! Congratulations on your 2023 Columbus Community Choice award and placements!

If you’ve visited Dalton Union, feel free to drop a comment. I love hearing about your travels, too!
